Ashtin

I can't believe that it has been one year since the accident. The images of her at the hospital are so vivid in my mind like it just happened yesterday. I don't think I will ever forget them. Sometimes I still think she is going to walk through the door and want to play with Jake. I know she is in a place of peace and happiness surrounded by people who love her. I miss her and so do my kids. Today we went to the cemetery with family and friends. We had balloons and let them go and my dad said a short prayer. It was nice. Other than the wind the weather was great. I love you Ash. I will see you again one day. Funny how when I logged on to write this post one of the songs on my playlist by the group Simple Minds came on. The song is called, "Don't you forget about me." I will not forget you Ashtin.
