First Win

Braden's team finally got there first win of the season. 1-0 over Sparta yesterday. The game was going ok when we finally scored, then things got a little ugly. As soon as we scored the referee totally turned against us. It was like he didn't want us to win. Nothing was called our way. (He must have played for Sparta as a child.) All of a sudden 2 of our players received yellow cards. The first one was definately a foul but not card worthy. The second was not a foul at all. Our player never even touched the player at all, he just beat him to the ball. The best part of the game was after when Braden came over to the bench. He was covered in mud from head to toe. At first I just thought he was so excited after the win he dove into the mud himself. That is something he would do. But no. Riverton City has decided to now at the end of the summer to water the parks so every game and practice the field is a swamp. I saw Braden slip in the game but I didn't know if was into the swamp.
